World Book Day

Thursday 5th March was World Book Day and the children at Barton Junior School were invited to wear their pyjamas and comfy clothes to school as part of the celebration.

Children arrived in the morning with their blankets, cushions and a copy of their favourite book.

Each classroom descended into quiet as all the children settled down to read in comfort and share their love of reading with one another.  In the afternoon the children were treated to yummy hot chocolate and biscuits.

Earlier in the week the children received a World Book Day token, which can be redeemed at WHSmith and Tesco to purchase the special £1.00 book.
