Expectations for Remote Learning for Children and Parents

 

Our expectations for Remote Learning are very much the same as our expectations when in school.

This document is designed to help you to get the best out of your Remote Learning.

  • Aim to access remote learning for approximately 3 hours a day if at all possible.  Subjects provided by teachers are 
    • Maths including allocated TT Rockstars competitions
    • English 
    • Key Skills (SPaG, Reading, Comprehension) via Spelling Shed or an alternative.
    • PE
    • Topic, covering a range of foundation subjects

 

  • Upload completed work to the portfolio section of Class Dojo daily.
  • Keep in touch with the class teacher through messages or Portfolio
  • Parents, please monitor use of online education whilst your child is at home
  • Please be polite and courteous in all correspondence to teachers.
  • Any abusive or inappropriate content will lead to a child’s and Parent’s Dojo account to be blocked whilst an investigation takes place. A parent will be expected to collect paper-based learning during this time.
  • Paper based learning will be returned to school weekly for marking when the next pack is due to be picked up

 

  • All feedback will be given via Class Dojo from work uploaded from the children. Teachers will award Dojos to children as a reward.
  • Parents can contact Teachers using Messages in Class Dojo. Children can contact teachers in their portfolio.
  • Teachers will endeavour to respond in a timely fashion and are available to communicate with Parents and Pupils between the hours of 9:00 and 15:30
  •  
  • We encourage parents to allow pupils class engagement twice a week during invited assemblies. Please ensure the code of conduct is adhered to.
  • Parents who cannot access online education must contact the school so that we can resolve difficulties.
