Welcome to Year 4

Term 2- Veni, Vidi, Vici

This term we will be learning about ancient Rome. The children will be immersed in gladiator combat after making thier own shields, they will learn to march in formation, create their own Roman mosaic, find about about the spread of the Roman empire and how a brave warrior Budicca fought back to protect her people and her lands. We will also be using practical activities to help us understand how Romans' impacted the world today. 

Some of our 'wow' moments will include: 

- Creating Legionnaire shields.

- Gladiator battle afternoon. 

-Creating edible Roman roads. 

P.E. Day - Monday. 

 This term we have a gymnasticts coach. 

 

Our P.E. day this term is Monday. Please make sure you have the correct P.E. clothes (blue/black shorts or tracksuit bottoms and a white polo) with you and trainers and make sure your earrings are out ready for the lesson. Just a reminder, earrings and a watch are the only items of jewellery that the children should be wearing to school.
