Year 4
Welcome to Year 4
Term 3- Who pays the price?
This term we will be learning about rivers and the impact of pollution on our planet. We will be covering the parts of a river and their functions. Our focus text is 'The Last Bear' which is a fantastic story that explores the effects of climate change on Bear Island in the Arctic Circle. This term we have a mission to promote the 3 R's to help our planet- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. In Science we are exploring sound and how sound is made and how it travels. In music we are learning how to play the trumpet.
Some of our 'wow' moments will include:
- River walk
-River Dour workshop
- Maths workshop with NASA's Katherine Johnson, legend of the Hidden Figures film
- Great athletes visit and fitness session
- MCAW
- NSPCC number day
P.E. Day - Thursday.
This term we have dance. The children are learning line dances that they will perform at our barn dance. YEEHAW!

Our P.E. day this term is Thursday. Please make sure you have the correct P.E. clothes (blue/black shorts or tracksuit bottoms and a white polo) with you and trainers and make sure your earrings are out ready for the lesson. Just a reminder, earrings and a watch are the only items of jewellery that the children should be wearing to school.
