Year 5

Welcome to Year 5 Term 6

Our topic this term is 'The Great Outdoors' and we are looking to study different science and geography based activities, with a particular emphasis on the River Dour.  Children will be learning how rivers are important both today and throughout history.

The Science work will feature around habitats and identifying mini-beasts using a flow chart. We are even hoping to fit in some river dipping so that they can put these skills into action.

As the topic suggests, we will be looking to spend lots of time outside so please ensure your children all have their own water bottles every day so that we can stay hydrated in this summer term.

P.E. Day - Thursday

Our P.E this term will be team games on the field, mostly as a whole year group. Children need to make sure that full school P.E kit is always in school and left here for the term. Children are not allowed to join in with PE lessons unless earrings are removed so please ensure this is done every Thursday.
