Welcome to Year 5, Term 1 !

Our topic this term is Wild, wild world! 

In this exciting topic, children learn about the natural disasters of the world in a fun and engaging manner. Children will take part in Uno One Day Creative Workshop, a challenge with MC Grammar and have a thematic day creating earthquake proof structures. 

 

Key dates:- 

7th September - individual school photos

16th September - meet the year 5 teachers

13th & 14th October - parent consultations

22nd October - last day of term 

 

P.E. Day - Monday

Please can earrings be taken out for this day and children have a full P.E kit

Please encourage children to practise their times tables using Times Tables Rockstars:

Weekly spellings  using Spelling Shed: edshed.com and they will have a weekly worksheet

Please can children read at home at least 3 times per week and be signed by an adult.
